The Monroe Police Department maintains a 24 hour Dispatch Center that handles all communications for the Police Department as well as the Monroe Fire Department. The Dispatch Center is responsible for all emergency calls and radio traffic. Dispatchers must be able to multi-task and react quickly to relay important information to the Police Officers and Firefighters responding to calls. The Dispatch Center is staffed by the following communication specialists:
