POLICE OFFICERS

 

 

 

The Police Officers assigned to patrol are the primary first responders to most incidents.  Many of our officers are also trained as Emergency Medical Technicians.  The following officers are currently assigned to patrol.

Police Officer/EMT -  Anthony Amatetti

Officer Amatetti started his career in 1994 with the Village of Elmsford Police Department and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 2003.  He is currently the DARE Officer and he is also a member of the REACT team and Bicycle Patrol.

Police Officer/EMT - Jeffrey DeLuca

Officer DeLuca started his career in 1993 with the Town of Chester Police Department and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 1998. He is a Team Leader of the REACT team, the department's Firearms Instructor, Armorer, Child Safety Seat Technician and a member of the Bike Patrol.

Police Officer/EMT - Stephen Dunn

Officer Dunn started his career in 2000 with the Town of Warwick Police Department and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 2002.  He is a member of the REACT Team and the Bicycle Patrol, he is also a Police Bicycle Patrol Instructor.

Police Officer Christopher Gatto

Officer Gatto started his career in 2005 with the Orange County Sheriff's Office.  He is currently training to become an Emergency Medical Technician.

Police Officer/EMT - Dennis Gomas

Officer Gomas started his his career in 1988 with the New York State Park Police and he transferred to the Village of Greenwood Lake Police Department in 1989.  In 2002, Officer Gomas transferred to the Village of Monroe Police Department.  He is certified in Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and is one of the department's Field Training Officer's.

Police Officer/EMT -Douglas Krauss

Officer Krauss started his career in 2001 with the New York City Police Department and he transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 2002.  He is a member of the REACT team and the Bike Patrol and is also a Child Safety Seat Technician and one of the department's Field Training Officers.

Police Officer/EMT - David Lee

Officer Lee started his career in 1994 with the New York City Police Department before transferring to the Village of Chester Police Department.  In 2006, he transferred to the Village of Monroe Police Department.  Officer Lee is a Drill Instructor and General Topics Instructor at the Orange County Police Academy.

Police Officer/EMT - Andrew Loughlin

Officer Loughlin started his career in 1997 with the Orange County Sheriff's Office and transferred to the Town of Tuxedo Police Department in 1999.  In 2001, he transferred to the Village of Monroe Police Department.  Officer Loughlin is a member of the REACT Team and Bike Patrol.

Police Officer/EMT -Joseph Ryle

Officer Ryle started his career in 1996 with the Town of Cornwall Police Department and he transferred to the Village of Monroe Police Department in 2000.  He is a member of the REACT Team and one of the department's Field Training Officers.

Police Officer/EMT- Gregory Witte

Officer Witte started his career in 1989 with the Town of Woodbury Police Department and he transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 1990.  He is a member of the REACT Team.

         

 *EMT designation means the Officer is also a certified New York State Emergency Medical Technician.
