The Police Officers assigned to patrol are the primary first responders to most incidents. Most of our officers are also trained as Emergency Medical Technicians. The following officers are currently assigned to patrol.

Police Officer/EMT - Jeffrey DeLuca
Officer DeLuca started his career in 1993 with the Town of Chester Police Department and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 1998. He is the department's Firearms Instructor, Armorer, Child Safety Seat Technician, a Field Training Officer and a member of the Bicycle Patrol. Officer DeLuca also served in the United States Air Force prior to becoming a Police Officer.
Police Officer/EMT -Joseph Ryle
Officer Ryle started his career in 1996 with the Town of Cornwall Police Department and he transferred to the Village of Monroe Police Department in 2000. He is one of the department's Field Training Officers.
Police Officer/EMT - Anthony Amatetti
Officer Amatetti started his career in 1994 with the Village of Elmsford Police Department and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 2003. He is a member of the Bicycle Patrol.
Police Officer/EMT - Stephen Dunn
Officer Dunn started his career in 2000 with the Town of Warwick Police Department and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 2002. He is a member of the Bicycle Patrol, he is also a Police Bicycle Patrol Instructor.
Police Officer/EMT - David Lee
Officer Lee started his career in 1994 with the New York City Police Department before transferring to the Village of Chester Police Department. In 2006, he transferred to the Village of Monroe Police Department. Officer Lee served in the United States Marine Corp. prior to becoming a Police Officer.
Police Officer/EMT- Christopher Gatto
Officer Gatto started his career in 2005 with the Orange County Sheriff's Office and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 2007.
Police Officer/EMT- Patrick Tenaglia
Officer Tenaglia spent 7 1/2 years in the United States Army as a Military Police Combat Support Soldier. He started with the Orange County Sheriff's Office in 2006 and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 2008.
Police Officer/EMT - Darwin Guzman
Officer Guzman started his career in 2005 with the Town of Wallkill Police Department and transferred to the Monroe Police Department in 2008. Officer Guzman is a trained child safety seat technician and one of our bi-lingual officers.
Police Officer - Kyle Mahoney
Officer Mahoney started his career in 2006 with the Orange County Sheriff's Office. He joined the Monroe Police Department in September 2009.
Police Officer - Ambiorix GomezVega
Officer GomezVega started his career with the New York City Police Department. He transferred to the City of Middletown Police Department and joined the Monroe Police Department in 2010. Officer GomezVega is one of our bi-lingual officers. Prior to becoming a Police Officer, he served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer.
Police Officer - James Gayler
Officer Gayler has been a police officer since 2009. He has worked for the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office and the Town of Mount Hope Police Department. He joined the Monroe Police Department in 2011.
